SEPNET Insurance Services
SEPNET is pleased to be able to offer a new insurance scheme in conjunction with one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers, Heath Lambert Group. The scheme is specifically tailored to the needs of photonics companies and SEPNET have worked with the Scottish Optoelectronic Association and the UKCPO to negotiate preferential rates. Coverage has also been optimised to cover some of the specific needs and common concerns of Photonics companies who export a significant proportion of their goods to North America and elsewhere.
Benefits include:
- Discounted premiums for SEPNET members
- Heath Lambert has been able to negotiate discounts on the standard premium rates meaning you could get better cover for a lower price!
- Goods in transit and money cover provided free of charge for limits up to £5,000.
- Dedicated risk management help and advice to SEPNET members when you take out your insurance through us.
- Research and expenditure costs to cover the costs of reworking R&D following damage to the premises.
- The first £100,000 of
cover provided free of charge.
Members taking a policy with Heath Lambert will also have their SEPNET membership fees reimbursed.

Laser Support
Services
based in Fife were the first company to buy their insurance through the similar SOA
insurance scheme and had this to say about their experience:
“We were really pleased with the service we received. The premium was good and the cover very comprehensive. Then add in the fact that they paid our SOA membership fee for the year – another saving for us - and it was an easy decision for us to make. We would happily recommend them to others.”
Even if you aren’t due to renew your insurance for a while, give Heath Lambert a call or email insurance@sepnet.net to let them know when your insurance is due for renewal and they will contact you at the right time.
Further
details of SEPNET Insurance services will be available shortly.
Note that discussions involving your business insurance requirements
will take place direct with Heath Lambert and remain confidential with
them.
